Scholarship Grants for Young Lawyers
The Legal Development Foundation has the pleasure to announce that it will provide 10 grants for young lawyers from countries of South East Europe to participate in Balkan Legal Forum 2008. The Foundation invites interested persons to apply for scholarship which will fully cover the registration fee for the Forum.
Each candidate must be a qualified lawyer and meet the following requirements:
- age - up to and including 35 years;
- very good knowledge of English language;
- citizen of country from South East Europe.
Adequate proof of meeting the eligibility criteria must be provided by each candidate together with his Scholarship Application.
The Scholarship Applications should outline the candidates' reasons for wishing to attend the conference, and cannot finance themselves. It should contain a biographical note giving details of the candidate's legal career, studies and professional appointments.
Each candidate should also provide a paper (original and unpublished) on the following topic: "Development and Prospects of the Legal Profession in South East Europe". Papers are to be written in English and should be approximately 2,500 words. Each paper must contain the author's name and a valid contact address on the front page.All applications supporting material and papers must be sent by e-mail, preferably as Word documents or in PDF format to the Legal Development Foundation Scholarship Committee at mail@balkanlegalforum.com not later than October 21, 2008.
The decision of the Legal Development Foundation Scholarship Committee is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Winners will be contacted at the e-mail address indicated by them on the paper.
